Dear Diva Readers,

Today I want to highlight one of my favorite vendors at this spectacular antique fair – Joseph Konrad Antiques!
My colleague in England, Gail McLeod of Antiques News & Fairs, first turned me onto Joseph Konrad Antiques and since her introduction I’ve been as smitten as she! Gail confides, “Channing Mercer and Lloyd Chapman who own Joseph Konrad Antiques are two of the most enticing Southern Gentlemen a Diva could wish to meet – they are natural charmers with swooning good looks who make you feel like THE most important human being in the world when you step inside their emporium of Diva delights prominently placed on the corner of Miami Circle – one of the most established antique shopping streets in Atlanta”.
With such a glowing review from Gail, I’m ready to hop on the next plane to cross the pond back home to America to start shopping stateside! These divine dealers have just made my list of recommended US sources for buying European Antiques at home in the USA! Gail continues by explaining that my desire to cross the globe to shop their inventory is a typical response. “Joseph Konrad Antiques is a destination stop for decorators not only from the thriving Atlanta community but also from LA, Miami, South America and beyond”.
The secret to Konrad Antiques success lies in the good taste and great sources of its owners. Gail explains, “Channing and Lloyd buy their spectacular and varied inventory from secret sources they have built up mainly in England and Italy with shipments arriving every few weeks. When you step inside their shop you find spacious co-ordinated rooms where you will see not only antiques both formal, semi formal and decorative, but also some very beautiful and rather grand chinoiserie lacquer furniture from one of America’s most prestigious makers and turn a corner and you will find a fabulous selection of lighting – in particular a collection of converted bespoke pieces from a North Carolina pottery – you just won’t see these anywhere else!”
When shopping in Atlanta, don’t miss Joseph Konrad Antiques! As Gail puts it, “From the frivolous to the very serious, expect to see everything a Design Diva could desire at this special showroom in Atlanta!”
