top:2px;padding-right:5px;font-family:times;”>A few weeks ago amidst the madness of a busy, busy life I arrived home from an awful rainy day when everything was going wrong only to discover that I had won a Blog Award! It was as if the sun had come out to shine and ran the rain away — never mind that it kept pouring outside, I was cozy inside by the warm glow of my laptop and first blog award!

I was delighted that Kelli at A Rendez-Vous with Style had christened me with the award!

to 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 214px; TEXT-ALIGN: center” alt=”” src=”http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_kcTb8DnPVW4/SQ3v-WKc4cI/AAAAAAAACM4/ThKYHmToA8o/s320/Kelli_ArcdeTriomphe.jpg” border=”0″ />
The rules of the award are:
1) Mention the blog that gave you the award and comment on their blog to let them know that you have posted their award.
2) List 6 things you VALUE and 6 things you Don’t VALUE.
3) Lastly, pass the award onto 6 other friends!

6 Things I Value:
1) My husband
– He’s my soul mate, my best friend, my lover, my business partner and my hero. Together we are better than either of us could ever be alone.

2) My family – I may live on the opposite side of the globe, but a day doesn’t go by that I don’t think of my mom, brother, sister, dad and in-laws. I am who I am because of who my family molded me to be.

3) My relationship with God – Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

4) My friends – Perhaps because my family is so far away, friends take on even more significance as they become my family, extending my network of love and support. to 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center” alt=”” src=”http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_kcTb8DnPVW4/SQ3slhMERyI/AAAAAAAACLY/BUXP6Bq2gbc/s320/friends.jpg” border=”0″ />to 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center” alt=”” src=”http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_kcTb8DnPVW4/SQ3smD6tPiI/AAAAAAAACLo/cOdLtR43fMI/s320/friends+3.jpg” border=”0″ /> to 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center” alt=”” src=”http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_kcTb8DnPVW4/SQ3tD6KgsrI/AAAAAAAACMg/bwmbLczxbh0/s320/tamara.jpg” border=”0″ />

5) My cat – Some people have children, I have cats! Catpuccino has moved with us from America, to France, to The Netherlands and next stop Germany!
to 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center” alt=”” src=”http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_kcTb8DnPVW4/SQ3tC1PM4vI/AAAAAAAACMA/YyPQeElfwEw/s320/my+cat.jpg” border=”0″ />
6) My International Life – From a young age I knew I wanted to live overseas. As a child I drew pictures of gondolas and men in striped shirts while other kids drew houses with picket fences. I sometimes think my International Life was pre-destined. I love every aspect of my life – even those rainy days where nothing seems to go right. I am blessed each day I have the opportunity to live the life I lead.

6 Things I Don’t Value:
1) Apathy:
I live my life with passion and energy and have little tolerance for those who have neither.

2) Excuses: We can all make excuses for a million different things, but it’s such a waste of time. Make No Excuses.

3) Reliving the Past: Whether the best memories of your life or worst memories of your life are in the past, reliving those memories time and time again serves no purpose. Live in the here and now. The past influences who you are today, but it’s history. The future is just a mystery. As the musical Rent sings, “No Day But Today…”

4) Greedy People: I believe that we should give according to how we are blessed, the more you have, the more you should give.

5) Lack of Motivation: I’m a firm believer in the American Dream – BE ALL You CAN BE!

6) Traffic Jams: It’s probably a good thing I don’t have a daily commute – I abhor traffic jams! Living in densely populated Holland means I spend a good deal of time sitting in traffic. It’s such a waste of time and I hate wasting time!!

The last step of this award is to pass the award on to 6 blogging friends!

1) Brit Gal in the USA
– I love watching Brit Gal explore my home state and the area I grew up! to 10px; WIDTH: 150px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 131px; TEXT-ALIGN: center” alt=”” src=”http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_kcTb8DnPVW4/SQ3mMWHZbjI/AAAAAAAACKw/wTATamBNVg4/s320/Brit+Gal.jpg” border=”0″ />
