Dear Antiques Diva,
to of this antiques shop was that the store name – “True Love” – is written on the inside of my wedding band and it was odd to see a shop in Amsterdam with such a name as this. During my courtship with my wife, it became an alternate phrase for “I love you”. We used it so much and even today we often say “True Love” as we say goodbye on the phone or spend time away.
I hope your readers enjoy the photo.

Matt from Texas and his bride Karla have to be one of the most “in love” couples I’ve ever had the pleasure of spending time with and when you’re with them it is clear that theirs is “True Love”.
By the way, should you want to check out this fabulous little shop in Amsterdam, it’s located near the Noodermarkt between the Keizersgracht and the Prinsengracht at # 4 Prinsenstraat – which along with the adjoining Herenstraat happens to be one of my favorite small shopping areas in Amsterdam. My husband, The Wine Guy, has purchased countless vintage and antique cuff links at True Love and they’ve an assortment of treasures that are “perfectly packable” for the world traveler. I’ve fallen in love with clocks, vases, crystal glasses, and rugs as well as larger less packable statues, Victorian sewing stands, pedestal tables and more. Though a tiny shop, it’s packed with so many treasures you are certain to find something you want, need or better yet, both! The shop owner also runs a simple guesthouse nearby with rates hovering just above the 100E point.
And speaking of “True Love” I couldn’t help signing off with this photo of WG and I taken almost 2 years ago on our 10 year wedding anniversary in Santorini, Greece… there is nothing better in life than TRUE LOVE.
